In June 2017, I did a driving trip to the northern part of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It is something that I try to do once every couple of years, because one of my favorite roads to drive on is in the area.
North Island roads are usually paved logging roads, meandering through the trees and lakes with banked corners (designed for drainage, but also so much fun!). Milder winter means lack of frost heaves, and so the pavement stays intact. Finally, the lack of population and tourist stops means the roads are often empty. The perfect combination for great !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
This time, I opted to focus my camera lens upon the places that these great roads took me to.

Yeah; there are so many in North America that it doesn’t even show up on Wikipedia’s “auto-complete” until you get to the disambiguation page :-P
Our’s is named after John Washington RN FRS and apparently has the best skiing available anywhere in the Province of BC, even beating out everything here on the mainland.
